We are recovering.

Words of inspiration from the Coyote, channeling Winston Churchill...and drawn in pencil, no less.

The Coyote is copyright the ghost Warner Bros. in the sky.

The pen is mightier...

God knows why, but I am having a hell of a time comfortably doing a pencil sketch these days. The piece below, which was of course done over hastily in Photoshop, is all right.
These designs are better.
This graphite drawing is nice.

This pen sketch is much more interesting.

Here are some more designs I was able to concoct off the cuff with a gel pen, while with a Col-Erase I'd be drawing a bland spherical skull for two whole seconds and groping aimlessly for a pose afterwards. I didn't use to hate the process of drawing so much. What happened?

This kid looks like he's ready to party!

I'd Rather Kiss a Wookiee, Pt. 1

Going through a block right now, 'cause my hands want to move before my brain can catch up. Wonder what a full night of sleep will do?

Petite Puss 'n' Boots

The Sketchbook Pro buzz is starting to wear off, although good has come of it, no doubt. Classes are pummeling me anyway. AAAARRRGHHHhr8yfygfugubgfr.

From the story again

Mood painting, with me still trying to figure out the kid's design. I don't want him to be generic, but I do want him to be simple and flexible.

By the way, it'll be a funny story, but it has to look creepy.

Xtreme Sketchdump Rallycross Oh-10

Sketchbook Pro continues to be an enormous boon (whatever that is).

Cleaned up from a thing in June or July or whatever:

Odosketch!

Thanks to a post from Eric Scales, I have joined the Odosketch fray, testing out slightly varying designs I might use for my senior film character. I confess, my story portfolio focus has shifted now that I have a faint idea of where my efforts are supposed to go. (We have a portfolio class I'm not in yet, and I didn't ask quite enough questions prior.)

EDIT: Uh-oh. The embed links are blanking out on my compy, and so is the Odosketch server. Better post some screengrabs. As an aside, this paragraph would have made no sense twenty years ago.

Join us! (And hope it works!)
