The pen is mightier...

God knows why, but I am having a hell of a time comfortably doing a pencil sketch these days. The piece below, which was of course done over hastily in Photoshop, is all right.
These designs are better.
This graphite drawing is nice.

This pen sketch is much more interesting.

Here are some more designs I was able to concoct off the cuff with a gel pen, while with a Col-Erase I'd be drawing a bland spherical skull for two whole seconds and groping aimlessly for a pose afterwards. I didn't use to hate the process of drawing so much. What happened?

This kid looks like he's ready to party!

That was fast.

If I'm smart, I'll update biweekly with a color sketch and stay off the rest of the friggin' time. For the moment, though, I'm being an idiot and posting some black-and-whites.

And a color sketch, because I canceled the blog and brought it back, thus bypassing the biweekly rule...or something contrived like that.

The Hard Stuff

My cynical side comes out. Meant to post this montage, featuring a bulkier, more aggro cousin of the old stoner doodle, a ridiculously long time ago.

And sometimes, when I get cynical, I can get mildly lewd too.
